JUNIORS & U23 SUMMER CAMP

The focus of Pittsburgh Rowing Club's summer rowing camp is to refine technique and performance in both sculling and sweep rowing and to build strength and endurance under the expertise of Coach Florin Curuea.  Practices will include both on the water and land training. Video review will be utilized.

As a rower, Coach Florin has earned over 50 medals at the national and international level including:  Romanian National Championships – 21 Gold Medals, 2002-2003 – Gold Medal at World Championships, 2012 Olympic Games – 12th Place Finish and 2012-2013 – Silver Medal at European Championships.

As coach, his accomplishments include: 2016 - 5th Place World Championship U23 Men's 8+, 2015 - Gold Medal World Championship U23 Men's 4, 2014 – Bronze Medal at the World Championships Men's 4-, Gold Medal at the U.S. Regional Championships, Bronze Medals at the U.S. National Championship

Races: Independence Day (June 29th thru July 1st) & Club Nationals (July 11th thru July 15th)

Monday thru Friday 6:00 am - 8:00 am
Saturday 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Minimum 1 year rowing experience required.  College Rowers are welcome.

Registration and payment will reserve your space.  Checks should be made payable to Pittsburgh Rowing Club and mailed to 200 Mingo Road, Wexford, PA 15090.  Bring completed forms with you on the first day of practice.
